Camping and  Caravanning at King Ash Bay

King Ash Bay is a fishing club, caravan park and small town all rolled into one. It’s quite a unique place. There are both powered and non-powered areas to camp in. Vehicles of all types and sizes are welcome and all camping areas are dog friendly. Caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, tents and swags are all welcome.

There are no designated campsites and the club does not take bookings for camping. But don’t worry, no one has ever been turned away because the campgrounds are too full.

To camp at King Ash Bay, simply check in at the caretakers office on your way in. It’s located across from the King Ash Bay Servo and open 7 days.

Privately owned Cabins and Lodge

If you don’t have your own caravan or other camping setup, then there are other self contained accommodation options for you at King Ash Bay. The cabins are privately owned, so bookings are not taken through the caretakers office. Contact Borroloola Houseboats if you would like to stay in the cabins.

The cabins are conveniently located close walking distance to the Bar and Grill, the servo and the boat ramp.

The King Ash Bay Lodge is another privately owned business. There are several rooms available to stay in at the Lodge with large common areas. More information on the King Ash Bay Lodge can be found here.

Privately owned Houseboat Hire

McArthur River At Night
