King Ash Bay is a unique place. Trying to describe it to someone who hasn’t been here is near impossible. People travel from all over Australia every dry season to come and spend months at a time at King Ash Bay Fishing Club.

Most people come for the fishing, but there is so much more than that. King Ash Bay is a really friendly, social place. The campers get together after a big days fishing for a few beers around the camp fire, or a beer and a meal at Groper’s Bar and Grill. There are cards nights, darts nights and trivia nights. There is always something to do.

People come to King Ash Bay in tents, swags, motor homes and caravans. We have seen it all. Every camping setup you can think of.

Most people are surprised at how civilized we are at King Ash Bay considering how remote we are. Located a thousand kilometres from Darwin, King Ash Bay really is in the middle of nowhere. But we have our own bar, grill, golf course and also some privately owned businesses including a service station with workshop, houseboat hire and cabin hire.

You really can’t explain King Ash Bay without visiting. In the meantime, I’ve put together a short video showing you around King Ash Bay. It might be just enough to to give you a taste to come visit. Enjoy…
