A few years back all our mates had big fourbies. Nissan Patrols and Toyota Landcruisers. So Jazz named our little Vitara &#8220;Ellen&#8221; because she wanted to be one of the boys.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094557.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-224\" title=\"Suzuki Grand Vitara\" src=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094557-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094621.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-225\" title=\"Suzuki Grand Vitara Towing Camper Trailer\" src=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094621-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ellen is a Suzuki Grand Vitara. She is only small, but NOTHING like a Rav 4. She is a proper four-wheel-drive including a low range gearbox and a small V6. I&#8217;m pretty sure it&#8217;s a 2.5 litre. Being a V6 she has that little big extra torque to be able to pull our camper.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s only had minor modifications. The tow bar is factory fitted, and I had the suspension in the rear upgraded to stiffer shocks for towing. We have had the windows tinted, which makes country driving a lot more comfortable. It also means the car doesn&#8217;t heat up quite as quickly when it&#8217;s sitting in the sun.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094549.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-223\" title=\"Cooper Discoverer AT3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.naivenomads.com.au\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/20121015-094549-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The latest edition are some nice new all-terrain tyres.
